Psalms 62

Dear friends and family,

This is not Mandi.  My name is Alyssa Burroughs.  I am one of Mandi's small group girls.  She is my dear leader and influence here at YWAM.  Last night was heavy as I watched Mandi struggle to  crawl into the front seat of a car as another leader, Mary drove her to the hospital.  She was suddenly hit with a bladder and kidney infection due to kidney stones.  Doctors have been telling her different stories and are still unsure of the situation.  Her body is in immense pain.  What's worse is that Mandi has been vomiting nonstop for the past 24 hours.  In fact, water is useless to her.  If she hadn't gotten the IV at the hospital, her dehydration could have added to the list of problems.  No amount of pain medication, water or food is of use to Mandi because she is unable to keep them down.

I am currently sitting at the foot of her bed watching as she struggles to move or even remain comfortable in a warm bed and cozy room.  It is heart breaking to see Mandi in pain.  She is worried and scared.  Stressed.  Upset over the fact that she may miss our outreach opportunity in Queenstown this weekend.  And worst of all, financially attacked by the enemy.  Mandi had to pay all of her medical bills up front.  Her insurance will take weeks, maybe even months to reimburse her for all the money she put down up front.  Her savings is completely gone.

This is where I am asking you for help.  Those of you near and dear to Mandi's heart, please do not take this lightly.  She is in need of extra financial support.  Your blessing of money is what keeps Mandi here, leading our group, and fulfilling her call to be a missionary and reach out to the world.  Pray for MIRACULOUS healing from the inside out.  Pray that the doctors would have a clear understanding about her situation.  Pray for comfort and courage.  Pray that the insurance providers rapidly respond to Mandi.  Just pray, pray, pray my brothers and sisters.  Your words are heard by God and he will carry these burdens.

More updates will follow.  For now, keep Mandi lifted up in prayer, encouragement and finances.  God bless you all.

Sincerely,
Alyssa
